    In Perth we are creating a cohousing community of people 55 and over who look forward to living well in an atmosphere of caring and support.  Our modest dwellings, located within walking distance of downtown Perth and built in an environmentally responsible way, will provide privacy and promote a lifestyle founded on concern for the well-being of each other, the environment and the wider world.

  • Waterloo Region Cohousing Ecovillage

    Description: We are creating a sustainable cohousing ecovillage community in the Waterloo Region in Ontario, Canada. Our plan is to build 30 homes combining the advantage of privacy and shared common facilities. We manage ourselves through consensus decision making.   Our Vision: We are a diverse, inclusive, multigenerational  sustainable neighbourhood of beauty and peace where we can grow as individuals while supporting each other, the land and the wider community in a net-positive way.  We foster a sense of belonging, meaning and purpose, sharing the fullness of ourselves and celebrating each other.   Our Mission: Our community will enable us to live, teach and educate others on living a richer, more ecofriendly and sustainable life.

  • Amikaro Cohousing

    We envision a diverse, multi-generational, accessible community, based on values of respect and mutual support. This will interest those with varying needs – families with children, mid-career individuals, those wanting to age in place, individuals with disabilities, etc. Units may vary from one to four bedrooms. We are currently seeking a site close to Victoria’s core in a walkable, safe and welcoming neighbourhood.

  • Our Urban Village

    Our multi-generational community is adopting an innovative approach for building cohousing in dense, expensive urban settings like Vancouver. We’re seeking adventuresome neighbours who agree that it takes a village to raise a child and enrich the lives of adults. We hope young professionals, families with kids, mid-career folks and empty nesters will join us in creating the best community we can be.

  • Driftwood Village Cohousing

    We are a diverse group of singles, couples, families and retirees who have come together to create an intentional community. Rather than feeling over-extended or isolated, we want a more practical and social lifestyle, based on co-operation, respect and caring for our neighbours. We are looking for a site within the City of North Vancouver. The final number of units and building type will depend on the site we find. Currently, we have 8-10 households, looking for homes ranging from 1 bedroom plus den flats to 3-4 bedroom townhomes. We are seeking new members to join our group.

    Canopy plans to build a neighbourhood that supports social interaction and sustainability. We want to raise our children in a safe and nurturing environment. We believe in an ecologically sustainable lifestyle and will make environmentally responsible choices whenever possible. We’re looking forward to a community with diverse ages, ethnicities, interests, abilities, incomes, relationships and spiritual beliefs. Canopy welcomes enquiries from young homeowners, boomers who may downsize and elders wanting to shape this vision and grow older together in community. We expect to launch our land search this year.

  • Convivium Cohousing

    We are a group working collaboratively to create an envirionmentally friendly, adult cohousing community in central Ottawa, of approximately 15 to 20 units, within walking distance of services. The cohousing project will provide private independent living accomodation with shared facilities designed to be accessable and to encourage an active involved life-style, social interaction and mutual support.
