Cohousing Hamilton
Cohousing Hamilton is building an intentional, multigenerational community in Hamilton Ontario, an hour’s drive west of Toronto. We are incorporated and have engaged Chris Kailing and Jennifer Barrett as our consultants to see us through to the end of the project.
Having created values, vision and mission, committee structure, membership and a deep sense of connection amongst members, we are in the process of looking for land and anticipate building between 15 and 30 units in the Hamilton area by 2025. We will strive to reduce the footprint of each home and make environmentally friendly choices, incorporating sustainability in design and functionality.
Hamilton is a great place to build an urban cohousing community. The city has so much to offer in terms of accessibility, services and culture, history and architecture, and there is an abundance of nature and green space in the form of parkland, the escarpment, conservation areas, and proximity to the Royal Botanical Gardens.
