Our Urban Village
Description
Our Urban Village is a 12-unit multigenerational cohousing community located in Vancouver’s vibrant Sunset neighbourhood. We moved in July 2023.
Developed in close collaboration with Tomo Spaces, our project is a first of its kind using the ‘cohousing lite’ model. Our building is a 3-storey low-rise with certified Passive House construction. Units range from studios to 3 bedrooms.
Our common house is the heart of our community. We share two meals per week on a rotating cooking schedule among the adults in the community. The lounge and the courtyard are prime space for kids’ play. Our double-wide exterior walkways create opportunities for us to garden together and bump into one another during the day.
