We’re excited to announce an upcoming 35 unit cohousing project at 2732-2758 Duke St in Vancouver, near Kingsway and 33rd. East Van Cohousing is an all-ages community that welcomes people who share our like-minded view on the importance of community and sustainability.

Our project is unique because it’s owner-designed – future residents will design the homes and make decisions together through workshops and meetings using consensus-based processes. We have completed a series of design workshops, and you are invited to join the design closure workshop is coming up in August.

Our cohousing design emphasizes interactions between neighbours to build relationships, with all units facing a community street. Each private home will be self-contained to allow for independent living and privacy, with its own kitchen, laundry, and indoor and outdoor spaces.

We’ll also have a shared “Common House” for socializing and community activities, including a large dining room, kitchen, playroom, co-working space, exercise room, guest room, and media room.

Our site is in the beautiful Norquay area of Vancouver, just a 10-minute walk to 29th Ave. Skytrain and across the street from Norquay park. John Norquay Elementary and Windermere Secondary Schools are also nearby.

This is a market priced development, similar to other condos in the area. Investments are recorded as shares in East Van Cohousing Company, which will own the land. Discounts for early investments are available.
